01 / WHERE I MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Not technology for its own sake. Something that works.
A good idea deserves more than a technical answer. I help uncover the question behind the question — and help build the solution.
01
Understand the business. Find the direction.
Originally in sales, with a degree in technical business administration. I ask questions, explain the options and connect your goals with what technology can deliver.

02
See the bigger picture. Build it myself.
Architecture and implementation. I help existing software evolve and build new solutions. Drawing on years of experience with C#, .NET, APIs, Azure and SQL Server.

Put AI to work. Keep thinking for yourself.
Not AI for show. AI to explore possibilities and approach development more effectively. With clear instructions, focused tasks and checks on the outcome.
Sometimes a sounding board, sometimes an architect, developer or coach. I connect the conversation to the implementation. Bringing experience and a healthy sense of humour.
Serious about your software. Less serious about myself.
02 / THE POSSIBILITIES OF AI. A HUMAN PERSPECTIVE.
Less hype. More direction.
I use AI extensively in my work at Topicus and KB360. A prompt is a starting point; a useful solution needs context, decisions and quality checks. That's where my software experience and practical mindset come together.
↗
Start with the right question. What are you trying to achieve, what can AI do, and where is human judgement essential?

Focused agents, not a circus.Define tasks, provide relevant context and only work in parallel when it adds value.

A result needs to be checked.Validate code, content and behaviour. Including privacy, maintainability and costs.

03 / THE PERSON BEHIND THE CODE
Not your standard developer. Just Pepijn.
I started in sales. Then moved into software. I never lost that commercial instinct.
I enjoy a good conversation, a tough puzzle and a solution that works beyond the drawing board. I connect people and technology: ask questions, explain, decide together and get to work. Preferably with some humour. Complex software doesn't have to mean complicated collaboration.
I've worked in software since 1999, from financial systems to education and e-commerce. As a developer, architect and sometimes team lead. Broad enough to see the whole picture, practical enough to build it.
Exploring beyond the code, too.
What my working week looks like
Four days employed at Topicus. One day freelancing at KB360. Considering working together? Let's have an honest conversation about scope and availability.
